Set a homepage on your phone
Chrome on Android has a Homepage setting under Advanced. Chrome Help does not offer that homepage setting on iPhone or iPad. Safari on iPhone has a customizable start page of Favorites and other blocks, not a Mac-style homepage URL field.
What “homepage” means on a phone
On a computer, homepage usually means the page behind the Home button, and startup means what opens when the browser launches. Chrome Help says those two are not the same unless you set them to be. Phone browsers reuse some of those words for different controls. Read the label on your device before you assume a desktop step will work.
Chrome on Android
Chrome Help, “Set your homepage and startup page” for Android (checked October 2026), says you can control which page appears when you tap Home:
- On your Android device, open Chrome.
- At the top right, tap More, then Settings.
- Under Advanced, tap Homepage.
- Choose Chrome’s homepage or a custom page, then enter an address such as
https://www.google.comorhttps://www.dayblaster.com.
That Android setting controls the page that opens when you tap Home. The same Chrome Help family of articles, as summarized on our homepage guide, does not list a separate custom startup-page path on Android. New tabs in Chrome for Android still use Chrome’s own new-tab surface. This project does not list an Android app.
Chrome on iPhone and iPad
Chrome Help’s homepage article states that you can set a homepage on a computer or on Android, and that Chrome on iPhone and iPad does not offer that homepage setting. There is nothing to screenshot here: the control is absent, not hidden. You can bookmark Dayblaster or Google and open the bookmark. You cannot point Chrome’s iOS Home control at a custom URL the way you can on Android.
Safari on iPhone: start page, not a homepage URL
Apple’s iPhone User Guide, “Customize your Safari settings on iPhone” (checked October 2026), says that when you open a new tab you begin on your start page, and that you can customize that start page. The steps are:
- Go to the Safari app on your iPhone.
- Open a new tab (Apple’s guide: tap the tabs control, then New Tab; layout depends on Top or Bottom tabs).
- Scroll to the bottom of the start page and tap Edit.
- Choose what appears: Favorites, Tab Group Favorites, Suggestions, Privacy Report, Reading List, Recently Closed Tabs, iCloud Tabs, and a Background Image.
- Optional: turn on Use Start Page on All Devices when you are signed in to the same Apple Account with two-factor authentication.
That is a start page made of Apple’s blocks. Apple’s iPhone guide does not give a “Homepage” field
where you type https://www.dayblaster.com. On a Mac, Apple’s Safari guide
“Change your homepage in Safari on Mac” does have that field, plus
New windows open with and New tabs open with set to Homepage.
iPhone Safari is not the Mac settings panel.
Practical options on iPhone: add Dayblaster or another site to Favorites, add a Safari bookmark, or add a Home Screen shortcut from the share sheet if your iOS version offers it. Those are bookmarks and Home Screen icons. They are not a browser homepage setting.
Safari on Mac, for comparison
From Apple Support, checked October 2026:
- Go to Safari on your Mac.
- Choose Safari > Settings, then General.
- In the Homepage field, enter an address, or click Set to Current Page.
- Set New windows open with and New tabs open with to Homepage if you want that page in new windows and new tabs.
To open the homepage later, Apple says to choose History > Home.
Desktop steps: set homepage in every browser. Also see the FAQ and Chrome New Tab settings.
What you can expect Dayblaster to do on a phone
The live site is a web app. On Chrome for Android, if you set the Homepage to
https://www.dayblaster.com, tapping Home opens that page. The layout is the same
product: shortcut zones, widgets, search. Small screens wrap the three columns. Dayblaster
does not offer a separate Android or iOS app, which is also stated on
facts.html and llms.txt.
On iPhone Safari, opening the site from Favorites or a bookmark loads the same URL. Apple’s start page Edit list (Favorites, Suggestions, Reading List, iCloud Tabs, and the rest) stays in Safari. Dayblaster does not replace that list. If you want the Mac behavior (new tabs open with Homepage), Apple documents that only in the Mac Safari guide cited above.
Default browser choice on iPhone is a different Apple setting (Settings > Apps > default browser, described in the iPhone User Guide). Changing the default browser does not add a Chrome homepage field that Chrome Help says is missing on iOS.
Home Screen icons are not a homepage setting
Adding dayblaster.com to the iPhone Home Screen from the Safari share sheet creates a shortcut icon. Apple’s Safari customize article does not treat that icon as the Safari start page. Tapping the icon opens the URL. It does not change what a new Safari tab shows. New Safari tabs still use the start page you edited under Edit (Favorites, Suggestions, Reading List, and the other blocks).
Chrome for Android’s Homepage control is the closest official “type this URL” setting on a phone that we read in October 2026. Use it if you want Home to open Dayblaster or Google. For iPhone Safari, add the site to Favorites. Keep the desktop homepage guide for computers.
