About Dayblaster
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Dayblaster is a free browser start page for people who want shortcuts, live news, markets, and productivity widgets on their first tab instead of an empty search box.
What Dayblaster is
The product lives at https://www.dayblaster.com/. It is a customizable start page you can open in a browser and set as a homepage or startup page. The page includes shortcut zones, a live news ticker, a markets ticker, addable widgets, weather, a clock, and search. You can use it without an account. A longer, source-checked list of product facts is on the facts page.
Shortcut zones on the page include My Work Zone, My Fun Zone, AI Tools, and a Google apps row. You can add, edit, delete, and drag shortcuts to reorder them. Default AI Tools shortcuts include ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Midjourney, Manus, Grok, Suno, DeepSeek, and Higgsfield. Every shortcut is editable.
The news ticker shows headlines fetched from Google News RSS, with links to the articles. The markets ticker shows global indices listed in the product: S&P 500, NASDAQ Composite, Dow Jones, Nikkei 225, FTSE 100, CAC 40, DAX, SSE Composite, and Euronext 100, plus a local index by country (for example TA-125 for Israel) and currency rates. News, weather, and market data are informational only.
Addable widgets in the product are Notes, To Do List, Calculator, Calendar, Currency Converter, Clock, Weather, Timer, Alarm, Countdown, Pomodoro, and Custom Text. The free plan allows up to 7 widgets in the dock. Backgrounds on the free plan include White, Black, Light blue, Pink, Orange, Velvet, Green, and an uploaded image. Optional setup kits import a ready-made shortcut layout: Developer, Creator, Student, and Trader.
Who it is for
Dayblaster is for people who want those tools on their first browser tab instead of an empty search box. The site's homepage and new-tab guide covers Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Opera. That guide states that the new-tab page usually cannot be changed in Chrome and Edge without an extension.
A Chrome new-tab extension is available on the Chrome Web Store. The extension opens https://www.dayblaster.com/ as the new-tab page. The public site does not list Firefox, Safari, iOS, or Android apps.
How it is maintained
Dayblaster is built and maintained by the Dayblaster team. The public site is published under the name Dayblaster. The site is operated from Israel. The published contact address is service@dayblaster.com.
The website is hosted on Vercel. Product facts are checked against the public site code and listed on the facts page (last checked 9 October 2026). If the privacy policy or terms change materially, those pages update the date at the top. Dated product changes are recorded on the changelog.
The optional Chrome extension has a single purpose: it replaces the new-tab page with Dayblaster. The privacy policy states that the extension requests no special permissions and collects, stores, or transmits no data of its own. Opening a new tab loads dayblaster.com, where the site privacy policy applies.
How pricing works
The core service is free ($0) and can be used without an account. Free includes custom shortcut zones, live news and markets trackers, up to 7 productivity widgets, weather, clock, search, light, dark, and soft color backgrounds, and an optional free account with cloud sync. There is no subscription. Free-tier pages may show ads, and some links are affiliate links. See pricing and the affiliate disclosure.
An optional one time Pro upgrade ($10) includes everything in Free, removes ad banners, raises the widget limit to 14, adds exclusive Pro gradient backgrounds (Deep Ocean, Starry Night, Twilight Clouds, Aurora), and unlocks page profiles named Personal, Work, and Chill. Payments are processed by Paddle, the merchant of record. Card details never touch Dayblaster servers. Refunds follow the 14-day refund policy.
How data is handled
Without an account, shortcuts, widgets, background, and preferences stay in the browser (localStorage) and are not sent to Dayblaster servers. Clearing browser data deletes them.
With an optional free account, Dayblaster stores the email address and a copy of page settings so they can be backed up and synced across devices. Sign-in is by email link. The facts page also lists Google sign-in. The privacy policy states that Dayblaster never sees or stores a password. Account data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt). Signed-in users can restore from cloud version history (the UI states the last 30 saved versions). Anyone can download or restore a local backup file.
To show local weather and currency, the site estimates location from an IP address via third-party geolocation services, or from device location only if the visitor approves the browser prompt. Location can also be set manually. Location data is used on the device and is not stored on Dayblaster servers beyond the visitor's own settings.
For a copy of stored data, a correction, or deletion of a free account, email service@dayblaster.com. The privacy policy states that Dayblaster answers within 30 days, usually much faster. The privacy policy is the full statement of what is collected.
