Privacy policy

The short version: without an account, your customizations never leave your browser. With a free account, we store your email and your page settings so we can sync them — and nothing else. We don't sell personal data. Ever.

1. Using Dayblaster without an account

Your shortcuts, widgets, background and preferences are saved in your own browser (localStorage). They are not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

2. Using Dayblaster with a free account

What we store: your email address and a copy of your page settings (shortcuts, widgets, preferences), so we can back them up and sync them across your devices.
Where: on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
Sign-in: by email link — we never see or store a password.
Deletion: email us at service@dayblaster.com and we will delete your account and all its data.

3. Location and weather

To show local weather and currency, the site estimates your location — either from your IP address (via third-party geolocation services) or, only if you approve the browser prompt, from your device location. You can also set your location manually. Location data is used on your device and is not stored on our servers beyond your own settings.

4. Third-party services we rely on

Vercel — hosts the site (standard server logs, e.g. IP addresses, may apply).
Supabase — stores account emails and synced settings (EU).
Google services — site icons (favicon service) and news headlines (Google News), fetched without sending them your identity.
Payment provider — Pro purchases are processed by our merchant of record; card details never touch our servers.
Advertising and affiliate partners — free-tier pages may show ads, and some links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure).

5. Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage for your preferences and, for signed-in users, an authentication token. We do not run cross-site tracking of our own.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — one email to service@dayblaster.com does it. We answer within 30 days, usually much faster.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note it on the site.
