Dayblaster product facts
Last checked against the public site code on 9 October 2026. Unknowns are omitted rather than guessed.
Dayblaster is a free browser start page for people who want shortcuts, live news, markets, and productivity widgets on their first tab instead of an empty search box.
This page lists only facts that appear in the Dayblaster site and application code, plus the official Chrome
Web Store listing confirmed by the owner. It does not include user counts, reviews, or social handles.
What it is
- A customizable browser start page at https://www.dayblaster.com/.
- The core service is free and can be used without creating an account. Customizations then stay in the browser (localStorage).
- An optional free account can back up and sync settings across devices (email sign-in link or Google sign-in).
- Terms state the site is operated from Israel. Contact: service@dayblaster.com.
Features in the product
- Shortcut zones: My Work Zone, My Fun Zone, AI Tools, and a Google/apps row. Shortcuts can be added, edited, deleted, and dragged to reorder.
- Default AI Tools shortcuts include ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Midjourney, Manus, Grok, Suno, DeepSeek, and Higgsfield. All shortcuts are editable.
- Live news ticker. Headlines are fetched from Google News RSS by a site function and shown with links to the articles.
- Markets ticker. Global indices in the code include S&P 500, NASDAQ Composite, Dow Jones, Nikkei 225, FTSE 100, CAC 40, DAX, SSE Composite, and Euronext 100, plus a local index by country (for example TA-125 for Israel) and currency rates.
- Addable widgets: Notes, To Do List, Calculator, Calendar, Currency Converter, Clock, Weather, Timer, Alarm, Countdown, Pomodoro, and Custom Text.
- Free plan: up to 7 widgets in the dock. Pro: up to 14.
- Weather and clock, localized from a chosen or detected location.
- Backgrounds: White, Black, Light blue, Pink, Orange, Velvet, Green, plus an uploaded image. Pro scene backgrounds: Deep Ocean, Starry Night, Twilight Clouds, Aurora.
- Pro page profiles: Personal, Work, and Chill.
- Optional setup kits that import a ready-made shortcut layout: Developer, Creator, Student, Trader.
- Signed-in users can restore from cloud version history (the UI states the last 30 saved versions) and anyone can download or restore a local backup file.
- Free-tier pages may show ads and affiliate links. Pro removes ad banners.
Platforms
- Web app in a browser, set as homepage or startup page. The site’s own guide covers Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Opera.
- The same guide states that the new-tab page usually cannot be changed in Chrome and Edge without an extension.
- A Chrome new-tab extension is available on the Chrome Web Store. The Dayblaster extension (Manifest V3) opens https://www.dayblaster.com/ as the new-tab page.
- Omitted: Firefox, Safari, iOS, or Android apps — none are defined in the site code.
